Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 3, 2026

TyHealth, Inc. ("TyHealth", "we", "us", or "our") provides a practice-operations platform for healthcare organizations, including scheduling, patient communications, digital check-in, clinical documentation, and billing tools. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit our website, use our services, or receive communications sent through our platform.

1. Information we collect

Depending on how you interact with TyHealth, we may collect:

  • Contact information — such as your name, email address, phone number, and organization, when you request a demo, contact us, or create an account.
  • Appointment and communication data — when a healthcare practice uses TyHealth to manage scheduling and patient communications, we process information needed to deliver those services, such as appointment times, reminder preferences, and message delivery status.
  • Support requests — the messages and contact details you submit through our support widget or email. We use PostHog Support, hosted in the United States, to manage widget conversations. Do not include passwords, payment card details or private health records in support messages.
  • Usage data — technical information about how you use our website and products, such as browser type, pages visited, and approximate location derived from IP address.

Where TyHealth processes protected health information (PHI) on behalf of a healthcare practice, we do so as a business associate under HIPAA and pursuant to a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with that practice.

2. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, and improve the TyHealth platform and services.
  • To send appointment reminders, confirmations, and related service messages on behalf of the healthcare practices you interact with.
  • To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

3. SMS / text messaging

TyHealth sends SMS text messages — such as appointment reminders, confirmations, rescheduling notices, and related account or care notifications — on behalf of healthcare practices that use our platform. You will only receive these messages if you have provided your phone number and consented to receive them (for example, when booking an appointment or registering with your healthcare provider).

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

  • Message frequency varies based on your appointments and preferences.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.
  • Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at [email protected].

For full details about our text messaging program, please see our SMS Terms & Conditions.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

  • With the healthcare practice you interact with — TyHealth processes patient data on behalf of practices; your healthcare provider controls that data.
  • With service providers — vendors that help us deliver our services (such as cloud hosting and communications infrastructure), bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
  • For legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

5. Data security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we process, including encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal and contractual obligations (including obligations to healthcare practices under HIPAA), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us — subject to legal requirements. For health records held on behalf of your provider, please contact your healthcare practice directly.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws.

8. Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through our website.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
